Pan Am, Pan Am, Pan Am Toronto 2015 Injury watch

SWIMMERS!!!!!  They are going hard at the Pan Am Toronto 2015 games and have aquired 23 medals (at last check).  With all of the competition comes beating fellow competitors but more importantly the clock.  Striving for excellence is no small feat and can sometimes bring about serious injury – FOR ALL OF US.  Rotator cuff tears or injuries are VERY common and because of available movement, are the most injured body part.

Swimmer

When it comes to the 4 muscles of the rotator cuff its important to get it tested properly, as most doctors know that pain in movement in the shoulders might just be a vague Tear in the rotator cuff.  There are 4 muscles in the rotator cuff and each works with different arm and shoulder movements. Orthopedic testing is part of what we do as massage therapists.

Safety in the Village – LGBT Pride

When it comes to therapy of any sort, it’s important to know that you can feel safe with the therapist.  Anything that is spoken of in the privacy of their clinical space is completely confidential and remains that way unless you OK it in written consent.

Being part of the LGBT community was something that I kept on the hush for many, many years and in many social circles.  I realized that I was scared and in denial mostly.  Once I was able to be more vulnerable was when I discovered the true meaning of community.  Within any community there needs to be unity, and THAT I am a firm believer of.

If you feel that you aren’t comfortable enough with just any massage therapist, I would love the chance to work with you.  I would hope that nothing is too taboo to speak about but ultimately it comes back to mutual respect and an ability to let go of anything that might prevent you from healing yourself.  It would be an honour to work with you so LETS LET THE HEALING BEGIN!!!

Closer to YOU!!

I’m here, FINALLY!  Yonge Street and College Street is where you can find me.  Yes, I know that College St. becomes Carlton Street on the east end, but if you need me – I can be there too.  Mobile massage is also more accessible than you think.

Most therapists are situated in one spot and one spot only, not this guy! It has taken me a while to post because I’m just figuring this all out.  Trying to help what is bothering you is what I’ m here to do.  I look forward to working with you in the very near future.
